Black Berry, the Canadian handset maker has launched its popular chat application BBM for Android-based handsets and iPhones. It has been witnessed that over 10 million downloads in the first 24 hours of its re-launch.

“It’s been 24 hours since we resumed the launch of BBM for Android and iPhone. And what a day it's been! We’ve already had more than 10 million downloads of BBM,” BlackBerry executive vi-ce president (BBM) Andrew Bocking said in a post on the company’s official blog.

“When we saw almost one million people install an unreleased version of the Android version, another million use work-arounds to download BBM onto their iPhones and another six million people pre-register to know when BlackBerry Messenger became available for iPhone and Android, we knew we were on to something huge,” he noted.

The application has also seen ‘overwhelmingly po-sitive reviews’ on Google Play and the App Store.

BBM has earned 60,000 five-star reviews on Google Play from about 87,000 reviews, he added.

On Apple’s App Store, BBM rose quickly in the free app rankings in the first 24 hours, taking the number one slot in more than 75 countries, including the US, Canada, the UK, Indonesia and most of the Middle East, Bocking said.

Bentley Flying Spur in INDIA in 3.1 crores

Bentley- The British super-luxury car maker  launched its new premium sedan — the Flying Spur — in India.The launching price of car is`3.1 crore.

Bentley entered India in 2003, around the same time as it did in China, Russia and Korea. But while it has struck gold abroad, its sales in India languish at double digits .

“Back in 2003 when we were getting into these strategic markets our forecast for the decade was we expected India to be bigger than what it is and China to be smaller,” said Geoff Dowding, regional director, UK, middle East and Asia, Bentley. “The Chinese boom cannot be replicated here but we are disappointed by the taxation. We thought in 2003 that taxes would gradually come down in a staggered manner as the market evolves. Instead, it has gone up.”

Bentley is hoping to sell nearly 50 cars in India this year. The increase in duties on imported cars in 2012 and earlier this year has surprised the company.

However it is hopeful that its first ever sports utility vehicle to be launched in 2016 will find many takers in India, which contributes  less than 1% to its 10,000 units annual sales.

Nokia puts the Lumia 1020 INDIA prices are open for preorder, it costs half a lakh.

Good news people – The prices for the Lumia 1020 has up for pre-order officially and a price of about 49000INR has been given for market sales.

Entering in the era of Digital Tourism, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) and Google India on thrusday partnered a project to create a bank of 100 iconic heritage sites in the country. With just a click you can now view Taj Mahal, Qutub Minar, Ajanta Ellora caves in 360 degree imagery.

With this partnership, INDIAN tourism will take a different view and expecting a large growth in the same sector and more people will engage , both around the world and here in INDIA, in discovering and learning about our country rich cultural history, " said Chandresh Kumari Katoch, Union Minister of  Culture, while launching the project.

The detailed images will be captured by Google’s Street View Trekker, a wearable backpack with a camera system (with 15 cameras) placed on top.

Once published, the imagery of these Indian heritage sites will be available on Google Maps and on the World Wonders site within the Google Cultural Institute so that people across the world can virtually view and explore these areas, the company said.

Google launched the same service in another 44 countries where similar kind of sites present and can be accessible through foot.Places such as the Grand Canyon, Mount Fuji, the Galapagos Islands and the historic pedestrian paths in Venice as part of its efforts to make the world’s diverse heritage and beauty accessible to everyone.

                                      NOKIA LUMIA market share grows in Europe

With growing publicity and Microsoft buying out of Finnish Company Nokia, the Windows Smartphone marketplace is managed to make some advances in Europe’s biggest markets - Germany, the United Kingdom, and France.

The share of Microsoft’s Windows Phone platform nearly doubled in all three. In the UK, Windows Phone share almost tripled and stood at 12%, up from 4.5% in the preceding quarter. In France, WP accounted for 10.8% of the market, up from 5.6% and in Germany the growth was from 3.8% to 8.8%. With these impressive figures, we should probably get ready to hear about Nokia’s best quarter thus far. The Finnish company is dominating Windows Phone sales.









In two European markets, Italy and Spain, Windows Phone could not gain much at all. Spain saw WP share grow from the marginal 2.1% to 2.2%, and in Italy there was actually a slide down from 10.3% to 9.5%.
