USOC head Larry Probst becomes 4th US IOC member.

The head of the U.S. Olympic Committee was elected to the IOC on Tuesday, a big boost for American efforts to regain influence in the international Olympic world after years of strained relations.
USOC chairman Larry Probst won a place on the International Olympic Committee by a vote of 71-20, becoming the fourth U.S. member.
"I look forward to continuing our collective efforts to advance the Olympic movement and its important values of respect, friendship and excellence," Probst said in a statement.
